Many entrepreneurs struggle with creating content for their followers, in today’s blog I am sharing with you tips, tools and strategies on how to repurpose your content for greater impact.

I am sure you have countless types of content on your computer, the cloud and your usb devices. I want you to take that content and begin to break it down into smaller micro content that you can share across your social media platforms

Long Form Video

If you have any type of video content on your Facebook page, or group, your Youtube Channel or other platforms, here is a great way to take that content and begin to repurpose it. You may have to do a little updating if there is new information, but it saves you time from totally starting from scratch.

The way you can begin repurposing your video content is to upload those videos into a video editor like descript, descript is an all in one platform that does video editing, podcasting, screen recording and transcription.

Descript allows you to repurpose your content without having to use multiple editing software. This is a game changer for entrepreneurs who truly don’t desire to spend most of their time creating content from scratch.

With your long form video content you can repurpose them into…

  • IGTV snippets
  • Gifs
  • Reels
  • Stories
  • TikTok videos

When you repurpose your long form video, make clips from important points that you made, and upload this to your instagram feed, video always gets better views than static posts.

Another great tool that I use in repurposing my content is Canva, I can not begin to tell you how much content you can make in Canva.

Content You Can Make In Canva

  • Reels
  • Carousels
  • Infographic
  • Stories
  • Pinterest Pins
  • Video
  • Presentations
  • Gifs
  • Newsletters
  • Animated Posts and much more

Blog Post

The next type of content you can repurpose is your blog posts, if you’ve been a blogger for any length of time why not take the last 4-6 blog posts and turn them into infographics, just add photos or icons to give it a more visual effect.

You can also use your blog posts and turn them into carousels and bring your blog posts to life, don’t stop there create quote posts from your content.

With the suggestions I have given you so far you have enough content from either one long form video or blog post and turn them into a month’s worth of posts, depending on how much you post on your social media platforms.

Here is another tool I use that’s great for entrepreneurs who are on a budget but desire to work smart and not hard. I use Zoom to record my video presentations, because zoom gives me 2 files: a video file as well as an audio file, I am also able to screen record as well.

I can take the video file and break it into bite size pieces of content as well as use the audio file as a podcast, just pop it into my editing software and add my intro’s and any type of promotion or resources that I have for my followers and I’m done.

The next thing I can do with the finished audio file is to upload it to a transcription service and now I have a blog post to put on my website. As mentioned before Descript does all these things at once if you’re looking for an all in one tool Descript is the tool to get.

How To Guides

The next type of content that can be created from your long form content is the following.

  •  How to guides
  • Case studies
  • PDF
  • E-book

The key to content creation is planning out what your long form content will be and then brainstorming the various micro content that you will create from it.

Before you know it your content calendar will be filled and you can spend the rest of your time either perfecting your products or services or promoting them.

I know you have tons of content on your laptop so why not go through it and update any information that is out of date and begin breaking it down into smaller pieces of content, you’ll be glad you did.

Brainstorming Your Content Topics

Here’s an example of using your content for maximum impact, let’s say you’re a dentist and you want to promote your new services, but you want to educate your audience on how to have healthy gums and teeth.

Your Topics That You Plan On Speaking About Over The Course Of 4 months are…

  1. Healthy Gums
  2. Healthy Teeth
  3. Promoting oral health and disease prevention.
  4. Cosmetic Dentistry

Your main topic is how to have healthy gums, you can do a video or blog post on this topic and from this main topic you can create posts, IGTV snippets and Gifs, guide or pdf.

  1. Brush the teeth properly. Share on Pinterest Brushing the teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste can help keep gums healthy. …
  2. Choose the right toothpaste. …
  3. Floss daily. …
  4. Rinse your mouth out with care. …
  5. Use mouthwash. …
  6. Get regular dental checkups. …
  7. Stop smoking.

The above list you can take each point and create 2 or more posts and give a key tip around that point, that’s already over 14 posts from one topic, you could go even deeper with people who have braces or receding gums and create more posts as well.

So you take one long form content and create micro posts over the course of the month and this gives you time to work on the next long form content for the next month freeing up time to work on the most important part of your business and that’s getting clients.

I hope these tips help and you can apply these same tips to any industry, real estate, Insurance, entrepreneurship, life coaching and health and wellness. Let me know in the comments how these tips have helped you.
